QT Lineup: Five Models from 300 to 1,800 mg/hr
The Queenaire QT line covers the full range of commercial odor treatment from hotel rooms to large industrial facilities. The QT Thunder runs at a fixed 300 mg/hr for spaces up to 2,500 sq ft — the right unit for hotel rooms, restrooms, locker rooms, and daycare centers. The QT Thunder-24 delivers the same 300 mg/hr output on a 7-day programmable timer for automated daily treatment without operator involvement. The QT Tornado runs 50–600 mg/hr across 5,000 sq ft with adjustable output for varied space sizes. The QT Cyclone scales to 80–1,200 mg/hr for up to 11,000 sq ft — the preferred model for mid-size commercial laundries and conference centers. The QT Hurricane and QT Lightning both top out at 1,800 mg/hr, covering 16,000–20,000 sq ft for large resort properties and restoration contractors running high-output jobs. All five generator models carry a 5-year warranty and a 10–15 year life expectancy. Made in the USA by Queenaire Technologies, founded in Ogdensburg, New York in 2001.
Automatic 7-Day Scheduling: QT Thunder-24 and QT Hurricane for Daily Facility Treatment
Most ozone generators require a staff member to manually set a treatment timer before each use. The QT Thunder-24 and QT Hurricane work differently: both run on a programmable 7-day, 6-cycle schedule. Configure the program once, and the unit executes it automatically every day without further staff involvement. This matters in hotel housekeeping operations where treatment consistency depends on whoever is on shift — with the Thunder-24 in each room, the scheduled treatment runs regardless of whether staff remember to set it. The same logic applies to commercial laundries, athletic facilities, and waste handling areas where the QT Hurricane provides 1,800 mg/hr on a hands-off automated schedule. Per EPA guidance on ozone generators, effective odor treatment requires consistent application at calibrated output levels — the programmable QT models enforce both without relying on operator judgment each cycle.

Maintenance Kit Schedule and Protecting the Five-Year Warranty
Queenaire specifies 6-month service intervals for all QT models. The ceramic dielectric plates inside the corona discharge assembly are the ozone-producing element, and they degrade gradually — output loss is invisible until treatment cycles start running long and effectiveness drops. The maintenance kit lineup matches the product line exactly: one plate in the Thunder and Thunder-24, two in the Tornado and Cyclone, four in the Hurricane and Lightning. Kits include replacement plates, Sporax antimicrobial filters, fuses, and alcohol wipes. One kit per unit every 6 months is the service schedule. At that cadence, the QT line reliably reaches its rated 10–15 year service life. Brio Air Filtration = Game Changer
Located in the Twin Cities in Minnesota, we acquired our Brio Air Filter in mid-late Spring of this year (2023) when pollen count was high and we were beginning to experience the effects of Poor Air Quality Index as a result of smoke particulates from fires in Canada that caused the air in much of Minnesota to become hazy and simply dirty.
It is so easy to share our experience with the Brio Air Filter given how quickly and efficiently it removed pollen, dust, and smoke particles from the environment inside our home. Two people in our home who suffer from pollen-related allergies during the spring immediately experienced easier breathing and elimination of symptoms within the house. With respect to smoke particulates from Canada drifting into our environment, EVERYONE in our home experienced directly improved breathing and smell of the air when entering from outside.
An additional piece of information to account for is that we have always employed high grade furnace filters in our home’s central HVAC system. With that high grade filtration in place both prior to and after acquiring a Brio home air filter, we all quickly agreed that deploying the Brio in our home made an easily noticeable positive difference in breathing inside our home. Additionally, those of us who clean our home have observed that dust builds up slower on our floors and furniture than before we deployed the Brio unit.
We did note that the Brio is not as quiet as a few other brands/models on the market that we have tried in our home but the efficiency and quality of the filtration, along with the air turnover rate it provides,allows us to locate the Brio unit in central rooms away from the bedrooms. Since we made that change there has been no noise-related effect on our sleep, while the unit maintains the same level of air cleanliness throughout our home.
A last key point to make is how easy the Brio unit is to maintain. The simplicity of the modular construction of the Brio unit makes it very quick and easy to keep the filtration sections clean. We have not yet reached a point of filter replacement but it is obvious to us that the replacement will take a matter of seconds and can be executed by anyone in our home, including our 10-year-old son.
