Humidistats for Commercial Dehumidifiers

A humidistat switches your dehumidifier on and off automatically once the air hits a target relative humidity, so a unit runs only when moisture climbs instead of cycling around the clock. Every control here is a genuine Ebac part built for restoration, crawl space, and whole-house dehumidifiers, from a basic wall-mount switch to a touchscreen with a remote sensor. Set a level, walk away, and the dehumidifier holds it.

Manual or Digital Humidistat: Which Control Do You Need?

A manual humidistat uses a dial and a mechanical switch to open or close voltage-free contacts at a set humidity. It is the cheapest way to add automatic control to a dehumidifier or exhaust fan, and the Ebac Manual Humidistat and Type HG with gold contacts both cover that job. A digital humidistat reads humidity from an electronic sensor and holds a tighter band, which matters on a job where over-drying damages materials. The Ebac F2000P digital models give you a numeric setpoint instead of a guess on a dial.

Internal vs Remote Sensor Humidistats

Sensor placement decides how accurate the reading is. An internal-sensor control measures the air right at the box, fine when the unit sits in the space you are drying. A remote external sensor lets you mount the control by the door and read humidity across the room or inside a duct, which is how the F2000P remote-sensor version and the Remote Touch Control are wired on PD and CD200 dehumidifiers. Put the sensor where the moisture is, not where the wiring is easy.

How Much Does a Commercial Humidistat Cost?

Pricing runs from around $340 for a manual wall-mount switch to $640 for a touchscreen remote control, with the F2000P digital units in between. All connect through voltage-free contacts, so they drop into most commercial dehumidifier circuits without a relay board. Match the contact rating to your dehumidifier before wiring, and confirm voltage, since these are 110-115V parts.
