In woodworking shops, shallow and deep modes accommodate thin panels and thick slabs. Building inspectors and restoration contractors can save readings room by room, then switch to relative mode for drywall and subfloor panels. Facility maintenance teams can check wood trim or doors in schools and offices and store readings without marking the surface. The foam-lined case holds a species settings booklet and a common flooring materials reference card for woods from 0.20 to 1.0
